Sheepskin Spring Sweep: Ride & Cleanup

Start Location: Sheepskin Trailhead, Point Marion Park, Point Marion, PA
Start Time: 11:00 AM (please arrive by 10:45 AM)
Distance: Approximately 24 miles (round-trip, out and back)
Difficulty: Moderate (No-drop ride, pace set by the group)

Event Overview: Join us as we shake off winter and welcome spring with the Sheepskin Spring Sweep! Enjoy a social bike ride while contributing to the beauty of the Sheepskin Trail. Participants will ride at a comfortable pace, stopping periodically to collect litter along the trail from Point Marion toward Morgantown and back with a stop at Mountain State Brewing Co. in Morgantown (participants purchase their own food and drink). This event is a great way to meet fellow trail enthusiasts, enjoy scenic spring views, and help maintain a clean, beautiful outdoor space.

Schedule:

10:45 AM: Participant Check-in & Safety Briefing

11:00 AM: Ride begins from Point Marion Park

~1:00 PM: Ride makes a stop at Mountain State Brewing in Morgantown for lunch, refreshments, and camaraderie. Afterwards, the group will ride back to the Point Marion Park trailhead together. This is a no-drop ride—no rider will be left behind!

Who Should Attend:

Adults and teens comfortable riding approximately 24 miles round-trip.

Due to the distance and duration, this ride is recommended for participants ages 16 and older.

What to Bring:

Bike and helmet (mandatory)

Weather-appropriate clothing

Water bottle

Comfortable shoes and gloves for litter collection (provided, but personal equipment is encouraged)

Provided:

Litter pickup supplies (gloves & bags)
